We are very pleased to invite you to the 3^rd edition of the National Conference on Modern Neuroscience “Parkinson’s Disease & Other Movement Disorders” which will take place in virtual format (online) during April 11-12, 2022. In this event, we will mark April 11 – International Parkinson’s Patient Day.

International Parkinson’s Day is celebrated annually with the aim of raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease and its impact on the individual, family and society.

The red tulip is the international symbol of Parkinson’s disease. On the occasion of the International Parkinson’s Day (April 11) a number of 72,000 red tulips symbolizing the number of patients officially diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in Romania, will be distributed to Romanians across the country, in solidarity with patients diagnosed in our country with Parkinson’s disease.

The main academic and scientific partners are: Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences, Romanian Academy, Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, Romanian Society of Neurology, Association for the Fight Against Parkinson’s Disease, Romanian Association for Interventional Algesia, Laleaua Iașiului AntiParkinson Group, Bridging Eastern and Western Psychiatry Romania Association, Human Brain Academy, Romanian College of Physicians and the Emergency Clinical Hospital „Prof. Dr. Nicolae Oblu” Iași.

Leading specialists in the field of neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry and medical rehabilitation, physical therapy, geriatrics, speech therapy, nutrition, urology, family medicine, pharmacists, nurses and patients with Parkinson’s disease will be together to share us with generously from their experience, the whole event wishing to be a constructive dialogue between the patient with Parkinson’s Disease and the medical team, meant to clarify various topics specific to Parkinson’s disease.

During the works of the third edition of the National Conference of Modern Neurosciences “Parkinson’s Disease & Other Movement Disorders”, we will try to address the following topics of discussion:

• Non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease;
• The concept of advanced Parkinson’s disease;
• Therapeutic options in advanced Parkinson’s disease: deep brain stimulation and device-assisted therapies;
• Secrets of doctor-patient communication in Parkinson’s disease;
• Neuromotor recovery of the patient with Parkinson’s disease;
• Diet of the patient with Parkinson’s disease;
• Rights and obligations of patients with Parkinson’s disease;
• Advice for patients with Parkinson’s disease;
• The importance of speech therapy in Parkinson’s disease;
• Other movement disorders.

We are interested that this scientific event to evolve continuously and achieve a symbiosis between patients, doctors, pharmacists and nurses with an innovative approach and addressing topics of great interest that give an extra chance for patients with Parkinson’s disease and other disorders motion.

We also want to try to develop projects in the field of Movement Disorders and the treatment of patients with Parkinson’s Disease, which will increase the degree of professional training and stimulate clinical / fundamental research.
